The 2003 Season was GREAT!!!

Thank You to all who came out for a fright!

...and Thank You to those who graciously gave donations!

Special thanks to all the actors and actresses!!!
In order of appearance...
Connie, Kris, David, Roy, Jimmy, Jeremy, Brett, Bonnie, Mandi and John.

Special THANKS to Kris Slocum for all his
hard work helping me build the Manor.
His contributions in props and supplies were invaluable!

The weather was perfect both Oct 31st and Nov. 1st ! !

The Entrance...
I moved the entrance to the side of my house.

This gave me the side grass area to create a graveyard with a greeting from the Gravedigger.

This is also where I put the Floating Lantern.

The Graveyard...

I lit the graveyard with a individual lights all attached to one dimmer (see pic on right).

This way, I was able to shine a very dim light on every tombstone.  It looked GREAT.

tombstone.

The Closet...
I don't have any pics of the closet except for one I'm going to video capture.

Basically it's just a bunch of old hanging clothes (closet) with a monster hiding behind them.

It was so funny, NOBODY wanted to walk past those clothes!!

The Hallways...
Below are some pics of the first two hallways...
The second hallway was blacklight lit.

The Old Man and Drop Prop...

In the scene, I had an "Old Man" trapped in a small boarded up area.

He controlled two props.
1.  He frightened people with a very load noise created by a
pneumatic chisel pushed against a metal shelf mounted to the wall.
See pic on right.
2.  He raised and DROPPED a 'dead man' prop.
This prop is hinged at the waist enabling it to be pulled via
rope to be parallel to the ceiling.  Then simply let go of the
rope and he would swing down. This 'dead man' prop
made a load noise when it hit the wall.
See pics below.

This whole area was very demanding on the actor!

The Portrait Hallway...
The Flicker hallway light.

Pic to the left was taken WITH  flash.
Pic to the right WITHOUT  flash.

"Haunted" pictures I 'retrieved' from the internet.

The Dot Room...

Last year's "Whisper Room" is this year's "Dot Room".
Pic on left

It is octagonal in shape, and contains the typical guy dressed in black
with 'dots' pressed against the wall waiting to scare
the crap out of anyone that passes by.

I also added a 'ghost' floating one of the walls.  I had a fan in this room so that the ghost's tattered clothing would 'move'.
I had to really lighten the picture to show the
cool face of the ghost!

The Coffins...
I had a couple of homemade coffins here...
I had a girl in one that would scream at passers by.
I had a vampire corpse in the other.
I'll add more pics soon.

The Black Hallway...
This hallway was about 15 feet long...
This is what you could see in this hallway... NOTHING!!
It was pitch black in there!

The Bloody Sheet Hallway...
Following the pitch black hallway was the VERY BRIGHT Sheet Hallway.
I had 5 sheets hanging down with bloody splatters and handprints.
The vics would have to lift each sheet as they passed.
This was cool because they didn't know what was on the other side.

The Caged Skeleton Room...
This was a larger area walk-by.

Static props here...

It consisted of the Caged SkeletonPile of Bones on floor, and Guardian of the Cage.

... lots of skulls in here.

More pics...
To the left is the
Guardian
of the Cage.

The Spider Room...
This room was COVERED in webs!!!
I had lots of body parts including heads tangled in these thick webs.

Then, right when the vics walked past the last part, an actor came out
of the webs at them screaming!!!

This was a very talked about scene.

  You Survived!!

This is my make-shift storage for most of Bloodsworth Manor.
It is made out of my 4x8 wall panels.  One on each side, and two on top.  All my other panels fit inside along with many boxes of props.  FYI:  I put the pillars to the front entry facade on top.

Special thanks to my wife Bonnie for putting up with my "obsession", again and again...

Misc. pics...

Lots of wiring to do...

I had dimmers on every light.

Misc. electrical...
